Every January, Amsterdam heralds the tulip season with Nationella tulpan-dagen. In 2026, the 13th edition of this event will take place on the Museumplein. Dutch tulip growers invite everyone to come and pick a bouquet of tulips for free in a specially laid-out picking garden.
Every year, some 17,000 visitors from some 100 different nationalities come to National Tulip Day.

The Amsterdam City Swim is an open-water swimming event through the city’s canals, including the Keizersgracht, which raises money for ALS.
