The Flamenco Biennial celebrates its 20th anniversary with a spectacular opening gala at the Royal Theater Carré. After ten years, singer Manuel Moreno Maya ‘El Pele’ returns, and for the first time he shares the stage with flamenco dancer Manuela Carrasco, accompanied by special guest Antonio Molina ‘El Choro’.
Manuel Moreno Maya, with a voice as warm as old brass, is a master of gitano flamenco, with a raw, personal singing style that radiates both deep emotion and exuberant joy.
Manuela Carrasco represents the essence of flamenco, pure and powerful, inspired by legendary dancers and singers. Her five-decade career showcases unadulterated flamenco, almost like a religion, full of temperament and ritual.
Together they form a unique and festive alliance, making the festival’s anniversary even more special.
