The exhibition – Erwin Olaf – Freedom – is the first museum retrospective since his death in 2023 and highlights the entire creative process of this versatile artist. In addition to his iconic photographs, lesser-known works such as videos, sculptures and archive material are also on display.

The exhibition follows a thematic and partly chronological structure, focusing on Olaf’s activist commitment to personal freedom and equal rights. His unfinished final video work forms the impressive finale of the exhibition.
