The Roze Filmdagen is the largest and longest-running film festival for LGBTQ+ films in the Netherlands. The event will take place from 18 to 29 March 2026 in Amsterdam. The festival highlights a wide range of aspects of high-quality LGBTQ+ films through films, documentaries and short films aimed at diverse audiences. Many of these films do not usually reach the general public through mainstream cinemas.
For 12 days, you can enjoy LGBTQ+ film screenings at cinema Het Ketelhuis – located at the Westergas/ Westerpark in Amsterdam. The selection includes the best films, ranging from LGBTQ+ romantic comedies to challenging documentaries and everything in between.
During the Roze Filmdagen, more than 140 films with diverse themes will be screened. The festival has also developed LGBTQ+ programmes for several other international (LGBTQ+) festivals. Special attention has been paid to short films for many years, and their selection has been recognised by international (LGBTQ+) film festivals. For the upcoming edition, we expect more than 10,000 visitors to enjoy more than 130 films (feature films, shorts and documentaries) from around 40 different countries in 140 screenings.
