Sunday, March 8, 2026, is International Women’s Day, a day that is still sorely needed due to the worldwide oppression and discrimination of women. In the Netherlands, problems such as the wage gap, femicide, and an abortion law that still criminalizes abortion exist. Women and girls worldwide experience violence and inequality.
That is why we are participating in the Feminist March to draw attention to women’s rights and gender equality. International Women’s Day celebrates the contributions of women and at the same time fights against discrimination and inequality.
