From 12 to 15 February 2026, the fifth edition of Beyond the Black Box will take place in Amsterdam! During this four-day festival, you will meet artists from Flanders and the Netherlands who venture into innovative and unconventional projects. They experiment with stimulating crossovers between theatre, performance and visual art. The festival encourages you to take a fresh look.

Beyond the Black Box invites both makers and visitors to experiment with form, space and time. From an architectural bouncy castle and a tripping workshop to live concerts, fascinating city walks and personal encounters, the works appeal to all your senses, are not tied to one genre or discipline and always arise on the spot.

The entire building (and its surroundings) are used for this journey of discovery, even the broom cupboard. Leave conventions behind and immerse yourself in new experiences in surprising locations and moments.
